Air Travel

Round-trip economy air travel will be paid by Resmed and booked on your behalf.  Once your registration is complete, a representative from Unbridled Travel will contact you within 3–5 business days. You’ll receive a proposed flight itinerary via email, which you must confirm within 24 hours by replying directly to the message. Please be ready to provide your corporate credit card when contacted, as it will be required to finalize your travel arrangements and this can be expensed in accordance with Resmed’s Travel & Entertainment Policy.

Pre-arrival & Post extension

The One&Only Palmilla will offer Resmed attendees the negotiated discounted Group Room Rate three (3) days prior and three (3) days post of the event dates, subject to availability. If I pre or post extend at the One&Only Palmilla, then decide to cancel my room, how long in advance must I make the cancellation?
Any cancellations within 30 days of arrival will be assessed, a cancellation charge of all reserved pre and post nights plus tax which will be charged to the individual guest’s credit card. For further information, Alison Johnson at [email protected] or 858-354-6866.

Weather

This part of Mexico enjoys sunshine most of the year, and the weather in Los Cabos is very comfortable with most days filled with warm sunshine and low humidity. Average highs range from the mid-70s in the winter months.

Time Zone

Los Cabos, Mexico is located within the US Mountain Standard Time Zone.

Currency

The Mexican Peso is the official currency of Mexico. The exchange rate typically hovers around 18.52 MXN to 1 USD, but it can fluctuate. The U.S. dollar is widely accepted in Mexico. We recommend traveling with small denominations of US dollars for tipping purposes.

The One&Only Palmilla does not accept cash payments, all payments must be paid by credit card.

Voltage

Electricity is supplied at 120 volts. Adaptors are available.

Tipping

Tipping is generally expected in the hospitality industry in Los Cabos. Here are some helpful recommendations:

1. One&Only Palmilla – Restaurants & Bars

A 15% service charge is automatically added to all checks. No additional tip is necessary unless you feel service exceeded expectations.

2. Offsite Restaurants & Bars

A 15–20% tip is customary.  For large parties, gratuity may be automatically included — always check your bill before adding a tip.

3. Hotel Porter, Housekeeping and Room Butler

Tips for your room butler, housekeeping and porter services are already included in the daily room rate.

No further tipping is expected unless you wish to leave something extra for exceptional service.

4. Taxis & Ground Transportation

To/From Airport: Tips have been prepaid by Resmed. Independently booked transport: Tipping is at your discretion. A 10–15% tip is appreciated for good service.

5. Tours & Activities

Tipping tour guides is customary. A 10–15% tip is appropriate if you enjoyed the experience.

Language

The primary language spoken in Los Cabos, Mexico is Spanish, as it is throughout Mexico.

However, because Los Cabos (which includes Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo) is a major tourist destination, English is widely spoken. One&Only Palmilla staff are fluent in both English and Spanish.

Passport

All visitors to Mexico must present a passport valid for at least 6 months from date of travel. Visa requirements for entering Mexico vary significantly from country to country. Click here for more information.
